Conversion happens entirely in your browser, so your document is never uploaded. Text, headings, lists, tables, and images are kept, but headers, footers, text boxes, and complex page layouts may look different from the original Word file.

How this Word to PDF converter works

Choose a .docx file (up to 25 MB) and the tool shows a preview of the document in your browser. When you click Save as PDF, your browser's print window opens. Set the destination to Save as PDF and save the file. The document is processed on your device and is not uploaded to a server.

Why use PDF instead of sending a Word file

A PDF looks the same on every phone and computer, and it is harder to change by accident. That makes it a good choice for CVs, assignments, invoices, and anything you send to someone else.

Check the preview before saving

The preview is built from the text and basic formatting in your document. Some advanced Word formatting may not carry over, and the tool shows a warning when that happens. Look through the preview first so you can fix the original document if something is missing.

Tips

  • Only .docx files are supported. Save older .doc files as .docx in Word first.
  • In the print window, choose A4 or your preferred paper size and keep margins at the default.
  • Keep images reasonably sized, since very large images can make the PDF heavy.

How to Use This Tool

  1. 1Upload a Word document (.docx).
  2. 2Check the preview to make sure it looks right.
  3. 3Click "Save as PDF" to open the print window.
  4. 4Choose "Save as PDF" as the destination and click Save.
