Resize photos to an exact size
This tool changes the width and height of an image in your browser. Your picture is not uploaded to a server. You can type exact dimensions, scale by percentage, or pick a preset made for common social media sizes. The maximum size is 8000 pixels on each side.
Presets included
- Instagram Post (1080 x 1080) and Instagram Story (1080 x 1920)
- YouTube Thumbnail (1280 x 720)
- Facebook Cover (820 x 312)
- LinkedIn Banner (1584 x 396)
- WhatsApp DP (500 x 500)
Choosing JPG, PNG or WebP
You can download the result as JPG, PNG, or WebP. JPG is usually the smallest for photos. PNG keeps sharp edges and transparency, which suits logos and screenshots. WebP is a modern format that is often smaller than both and is supported by current browsers.
Common mistakes
- Enlarging a small image makes it look blurry, because the tool cannot add detail that was never there.
- Changing width and height separately can stretch the picture. Keep the proportions unless you need a specific shape.
